GET INVOLVED

We depend on volunteers to help run activities at JusB.

What is a project volunteer? A youth centre project volunteer is an adult (aged 19 years and above) who has committed themselves to volunteering at one of the sessions for this project.  When you agree to become a volunteer you can discuss with usr how much or little time you would like to volunteer.

What will I do at the project? You are there to build relationships with the young people who come to the project. You will do this by helping them to use the equipment that is available and helping them to take part in the different activities that are happening at the projects.

All project volunteers are subject to DBS clearance and references.

What is an Office Volunteer?

We need volunteers who could come into the office for a couple of hours a week and assist with our day-to-day admin duties. If you agree to become an office volunteer you can discuss with the Administrator or

Fundraiser how much or little time you would like to volunteer and where your skills can best be utilised.

What will I do as an office volunteer?

This would be varied and could include designing posters, flyers and other publicity material on the computer. Updating databases using the Access computer programme. Entering statistics into Excel database. Writing thank you letters on the computer to donors/supporters. Photocopying. Collating statistics. Sorting through donated stamps/ink cartridges etc. As well as other general admin tasks, as they arise!  A Trust Administrator will help to research and write to trusts and a Collectables Administrator will help to sort through donated items and get ready for sending to external organisations.

All office volunteers are subject to references

At JusB we offer those who are studying at College or University the opportunity to fulfill their placement hours. Whilst on placement with us you would be expected to become part of the staff team and engage with young people through the projects we run.

All student placements are subject to DBS clearance and references.
