We have a faithful and dedicated team of trustees who work extremely hard to ensure the governance and practicalities operates within the Charity Commission guidelines.  Our current trustees are:-

Mike Deves: (Chair) Mike’s background is as a Civil Servant. His passion for community work became apparent when he became a member of Bromley Lions Club, and subsequently the main organiser for the Bromley Carnival which raised thousands of pounds for local charities. Mike’s charitable work is varied. He was President of Bromley Lions in 2007/2008 and again in 2011/12. He is also trustee of Bromley Mencap and a volunteer with Age Concern, is a former governor of Parish Primary School and member of the Life Education Committee. Helping JusB: Through his links with the Bromley Lions Mike has been involved with collections and quizzes for JusB. He also helps as an individual with street collections and delivering leaflets about our work. Year started: 2008


Reverend Cecil Heatley:  Cecil became involved in youth work in 1964, as a Curate in Belfast. In 1969 he became a full time Youth Worker in South London and has sought to support youth work throughout his career. On retirement in Bromley, he came across JusB and was impressed by the philosophy of the project and the enthusiasm of the staff. He says: ‘These were people I wanted to engage with and a project I wanted to support.’ Helping JusB: Cecil became the JusB chaplain in 2008 and regularly does the pastoral care talk at volunteer inductions. He is available to support staff and is also a regular visitor to some of the evening projects. Through his local contacts new people have visited JusB. Year started: 2011


Andrew Lancaster: Andrew’s background is in banking, a career which spanned over thirty years. Andrew started at JusB as a volunteer helping with our trust fundraising. We were interested in the benefits that his financial skills could bring to trustees and he was invited to join the board. Along with the Finance Manager, Fundraiser and Project Manager Andrew is part of the Futures Group which checks the long term sustainability of JusB. Helping JusB: Andrew is a Church Rep. He has particularly promoted our stamp collection scheme to a church that was a new contact for JusB. For our Tenth Anniversary Andrew and his son were part of a sponsored cycle ride. In September 2019 Andrew completed the LEJOG 950 mile cycle ride for JusB.  Year started: 2012

Roger Brighton:  Roger is a retired Insurance Broker, having spent most of his working life as a broker at Lloyds of London. During which time he was an elected member of the Court of Common Council of the City of London for 18 years and served on the committees which ran Smithfield, Billingsgate and Spitalfields Markets and also the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was introduced to JusB by his wife’s Livery Company who actively support their work.   Year started: 2019
